==================================================================================================== >> LK SE Server - Manual World Downloads << ==================================================================================================== [Instructions] Windows: 1. Download the World you want to play. 2. Once downloaded, extract the folder from the .zip file into your SE World Folder inside AppData. > Default Path: "C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves\\" - Make sure you put it in the correct Steam User ID folder. > If prompted for a Password: Use the one from the Discord. 3. Launch SE, lower your graphics settings, and load up the world. 4. Respawn, turn on whatever Admin options you need in the Alt+F10 menu, and you are good to go! Linux: If you are running SE on Linux, you are probably smart enough to do this on your own! Apple: No clue, I don't have any Apple devices that could run SE, so *shrug*. Consoles: Not supported due to modded content, and us not using Crossplay. Sorry! ==================================================================================================== [Why not a Workshop/Mod.IO Download?] Please see the [Content Disclaimer] below - we do not really feel comfortable putting our names on whatever content didn't get caught by the automatic system (as it is a risk for our workshop presence, and potentially even our accounts. Its very low, but still). Also, even if we wanted to put it on the Workshop: I cannot upload server worlds for some reason. I assume its related to the world coming from a server, because other worlds work fine, but I don't know. Having it here does offer one major benefit though: The data remains in-house (no third parties), and is accessible even when Steam is offline. ==================================================================================================== [The site feels sketchy, are the files safe to download? ] The site is hosted in Switzerland and runs on the open-source software "dufs" (https://github.com/sigoden/dufs). I explicitly chose to keep the file server EXTREMELY simple for compatibility. This meant sacrificing a fancy UI youd see on other platforms like OneDrive. As for whether it's "safe" - that's your call to make. You are downloading a file from the Internet. Even in SE, numerous people use Client & Server Plugins that aren't in public repositories. A zipped-up world file is considerably safer in that regard, so make of that what you will. That being said, if it means anything to you: You have my personal guarantee that the files are safe to download. If you're paranoid, just run it through a malware checker first. ==================================================================================================== [Content Disclaimer] The content within the worlds is user-generated as part of a Multiplayer Server. We (YoshiWoof22 and Lunar Kolony) do NOT take ANY responsibility for anything inappropriate that may be found within, nor do we endorse or represent any of the other players' opinions or statements. Efforts have been made to censor (or delete) any particularly-bad occurences of inappropriate content using automated tools, but there are limits to what it possible without reviewing every single grid directly in-game, so some stuff may not have been caught. ==================================================================================================== [Performance Disclaimer] These are worlds that were originally hosted on a decently powerful dedicated server. This means that performance in Singleplayer will likely be bad. Floating Items and some "dead grids" were cleaned out, and world settings adjusted to make loading in Singleplayer actually possible in the first place. We suggest turning down your graphics settings.
